Eagle Regiment Family,
This past week, we were once again dealt with some setbacks via rain and Hurricane Dorian. We were still able to learn a new ending to the opener, refine the opener music, review the Ballad, teach the trombone feature, learn a great deal of stands music, store the remaining music in the library, move the Trucks to the stadium (thanks to Will and our Dads for this as well as trimimg some trees along the way), and of course cover all our electronics in the Band Room! Wow - that was a lot!
Reminders:
-Tuxedo/Dress Fittings will begin in two weeks. Look for a handout this week.
News:
-We are very excited about our new Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment Website that is now in FULL OPERATIONAL MODE. Please log on, www.stonemandouglasband.com , Click on Calendar, and SUBSCRIBE to all the Calendars that pertain to you. This will be our New platform for our Calendars.
-Due to the loss of Tuesday's Rehearsal, I would like to extend the hours of this Thursday's Rehearsal (SEE BELOW).
-Students should have Concert and Marching Music/Instruments during class this week.
Here is the week ahead:
Thursday - Eagle Regiment Rehearsal (3:15 PM – 7:15 PM)
As always, feel free to contact me if I can be of assistance.
Respectfully,
Stephen K. Rivero
Director of Bands
Stoneman Douglas High School
